Best Time to Play Padel in the South of Spain | Racket Breaks

The south of Spain is genuinely playable year-round — this isn't a destination with an "off season" so much as one with different strengths at different times.

Winter (November–February)

This is when a lot of our groups actually travel. With 300+ days of sunshine a year across the region, daytime temperatures typically sit in the mid-teens to low-twenties — ideal for court play without summer's heat, and a proper sunshine escape from a UK or northern European winter. This is genuinely peak season for padel-focused trips.

Spring (March–May)

Widely considered the sweet spot — warm, reliable weather, lower prices than summer, and courts rarely fully booked. A strong choice if you want the best all-round balance.

Summer (June–August)

Hot during the day — often into the low-to-mid thirties by early afternoon — so play tends to shift to mornings, evenings, or floodlit courts after dark. Clubs get busier with local players too, so book further ahead. Still a great trip, just a different rhythm to the day.

Autumn (September–October)

Warm sea-tempered evenings, easing daytime heat, and pricing back down from peak summer — another strong option.

The short version

There's no wrong time to book. Winter and spring are especially popular for a genuine sunshine escape, while summer suits groups happy to play around the heat. Tell us your dates and we'll advise on court conditions for that specific window.
